About

Carlton Lynn started his career in Atlanta, Ga at uber producer Dallas Austin’s studio and has since amassed mix and recording engineer credits for some of the music industry’s biggest acts. The diverse group of artists he has been fortunate to work with include India Arie, Usher, Pink, Namie Amuro, Nas, Ciara, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Monica, Sugababes, Texas, Carlos Santana, Collective Soul, Madonna, The Roots, Aretha Franklin, Sean “Puffy” Combs and Brandy.

He earned a “Best R&B Album” Grammy Award in 2000 for his engineering efforts on the 6x-platinum selling album, “Fanmail” by TLC. In 2013, Carlton again received a Grammy award as a mixer for 2012’s “Best Gospel” album by hip hop artist, Lecrae. The following year, he was inducted into Full Sail University’s Hall of Fame which annually recognizes alumni who have achieved professional success in the creative arts.

Currently based in Tokyo, Carlton has continued to mix for his US-based clientele and has been steadily building his Japanese client base. In the last few years, he has worked with a variety of artists in Japan including King & Prince, Dean Fujioka, Hypnosis Mic, Red Velvet, Momoiro Clover Z, FlowBack, wacci, Takanori Nishikawa, BoA, Super Junior / D&E, Bullet Train (超特急) and Akina Nakamori.

Carlton is known for his easy-going personality and musical sensibilities that have contributed to his success as a mixer and engineer. Additionally, his experience working with a wide range of artists and producers allows him to bring out the best in any project.
